LOGAN, W.Va. — A walking and driving tour of downtown Logan’s historic churches is set to being 6 p.m. December 8.
The tour will feature six churches including the First Presbyterian Church of Logan, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Francis of Assisi, First Christian Church, Nighbert Memorial Methodist Church and Logan Church of the Nazarene.
Debrina Williams, with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, explained churches are decorating their sanctuaries and offering refreshments.
Some churches have organized musical performances for the tour.
Williams noted the tour is a good chance for people to see and enjoy other churches they would not normally get to saying, “Sometimes you live in this region and you attend a particular church. You take your family back to that particular church. You mean to visit other churches and somehow you just don’t get around to it. So I think we have a lot of people in this area who are curious who haven’t ever really had the time to go in to other churches and just look around.”
Tickets for the event are complimentary; however, a ticket must be reserved at the any of the churches, the Logan Chamber of Commerce or by calling 304-752-1324.
“I would like to thank the Logan County Ministerial Association for all of their help organizing this event,” added Williams.
