CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — One man is in jail after he allegedly violated a domestic violence order and threatened to kill his family and their babysitter.
The man, which to protect the victim’s identities will hereon referred to as John Doe, reportedly travelled to a home in the Chapmanville area of Logan County and took his daughter from the residence in violation of a domestic violence protection order.
The domestic violence protection order was reportedly issued in Logan County to Doe Sept. 27, 2016.
Doe allegedly took the girl to another home in the Chapmanville area, and on the way he reportedly told her he would kill the rest of their family and their babysitter.
Doe is charged with three misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and misdemeanor count of violation of a domestic violence protection order.
If he is found guilty, Doe could be forced to spend up to 2.5 years in a state correctional facility and pay up to $2,300 in fines.
Doe’s bail was set to $50,000 full cash or surety in Logan County Magistrate Court.
