Contractors working at Chapmanville Regional High School reportedly broke a water line Tuesday.
The waterline break resulted in the Chapmanville Water and Sewer Department issuing a boil water advisory from CRHS to Crawley Creek Road.
The boil water advisory includes some residents in the Smith Shelton area as well as customers on Crawley Creek who have water service from the Logan County PSD.
Customers of Chapmanville Water and Sewer or the Logan County PSD in the area should bring water to rolling boil for one minute before use or use bottled water.
Students were dismissed from CRHS around 1:30 p.m.
Construction of an auxiliary gym at Chapmanville Regional High School is currently underway.
At the Logan County Board of Education’s meeting held Feb. 25, 2016, the group approved construction of an auxiliary gymnasium at CRHS.
The board had previously came under public pressure to fund the project.
Previous estimates for the gym topped $2.1 million.
