WILLIAMSON – Sgt. John Hall with the Williamson Police Department would like to make the public aware of an individual fraudulently representing a Suddenlink employee that has recently been going door to door in Williamson and surrounding areas claiming that he is collecting money on past due accounts.
According to Sgt. Hall, the man is wearing a Suddenlink shirt and identifies himself as an employee of Suddenlink. Hall explained that the man is claiming to give people the opportunity to pay the past due amounts on their Suddenlink bill before the matter is turned over to a collection agency and a warrant is issued for their arrest.
Hall urges the public that if a someone visits their home claiming to be an employee of Suddenlink, to request for proper Suddenlink identification, paperwork and a phone number to call to verify that they are, in fact, an employee of Suddenlink.
If anyone receives a visitor from a fraudulent Suddenlink employee, contact the Williamson Police Department at 304-235-2570.
