LOGAN — The 10th Annual Senior Bluegrass Night will be held at the Coalfield Jamboree in downtown Logan Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m..
Admission to the event will be free and all ages are welcome to attend a night of bluegrass music.
The event will feature the band Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out. The band formed in 1991, and, by 1994, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out had won the first of seven consecutive IBMA awards for vocal group of the year and Russell Moore won his first title for male vocalist of year.
The groups latest album is titled, “Timeless Hits From the Past…BLUEGRASSED.” The album was named to Billboard’s list of the 15 best-selling bluegrass albums of 2013.
Local singer and child singing sensation, Autumn Rose Belcher will open for Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out at the event. Belcher began singing on local radio station WVOW at the age of two and was placed in the WVOW Hall of Fame at the age of four. Belcher was featured in Goldenseal Magazine for performing on the Friendly Neighbor Show.
Belcher has performed with bluegrass greats such as Dr. Ralph Stanley, Ralph Stanley II and Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers.
Belcher and IIIrd Tyme Out will take the Coalfield Jamboree stage for a night bluegrass music and entertainment starting at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8.
