No charges have been filed yet against a Logan man who struck a bicyclist on US 119 at Trace Fork near Charleston.
According to release sent out by the Charleston Police Department, on Wed., Sept. 23, at approximately 5 a.m., a bicyclist was struck along Rt. 119 on the north bound side in the area of Trace Fork. The cyclist’s name is John Jump, 30, of Nitro, W.Va.
The release states that Mr. Jump is currently at CAMC General in critical condition. The driver, James Hill of Logan, has not been charged as of this time.
The investigation is being conducted by the Charleston Police Department’s Traffic Division, and is still ongoing.
Rt. 119 was opened up to allow for morning rush hour traffic Wednesday but partial lanes closures occurred in the area after rush hour to allow for measurements to be taken at the scene.
