Blevins reelected mayor of Man


Jim Blevins was reelected for his third term as Town of Man mayor on Tues., June 9. Mavis Toler was also reelected to her seat on the town council.

MAN — The Town of Man held their municipal election for the offices of mayor, town recorder and council members on Tues., June 9.

With 249 votes, incumbent Jim Blevins defeated Chris Trent who received 125 votes. Cindy Meade was elected town recorder with 340 votes. Council members elected Mavis Toler, Roger Muncy, John Fekete, Steven “Noodle” Adkins and Chad Preston.

“I’d like to thank everybody who helped in any way,” Blevins said. “We worked hard. I’ll stay here for the next four years and work just as hard as I have for the past eight years. I’ll work five days a week eight hours a day and work hard for the town of Man”

“This is the sweetest one added Blevins. And all my council members were re-elected as well that’s great. Once again I’d like to say thanks.”

Trent also expressed his appreciation to the Town of Man residents.

“It’s been a good run, but we came up short. I appreciate everyone’s support, including Facebook, text, and words of encouragement,” Trent said. “I love everyone and we live to fight another day.”
