OCEANA, W.Va. — William Jeffrey “Jeff” Fox, 46, of Oceana, was found guilty of malicious wounding and domestic battery by a Circuit Court jury verdict after a two day jury trial in front of Special Assigned Circuit Court Judge Charles Vickers.

The charges were filed stemming from an altercation that occurred July 29, 2012 in which Fox’s brother received multiple injuries from a steel pipe used by Fox as a weapon. A sentencing hearing will be held November 23, 2015.

Wyoming County Prosecutor Micheal Cochrane, who prosecuted the case, states that “while issues existed between these two, Jeff Fox went above and beyond the scope of the law when he used a steel pipe to severely injure his brother. You cannot go above and beyond the law in seeking revenge against anyone in which you have issues with. Based upon that, the jury properly applied the law to the facts of this case and found Mr. Fox guilty.”

Cochrane further states that the Oceana Police Department investigated and filed the charges in this matter.
