Red Ribbon Week


At the Oct. 19 meeting of the Logan County Commission, PIECES Coalition director Jeremy Farley addressed the commission with the group’s project to join the National Red Ribbon Week whereby people and their communities take a verifiable stand against drug abuse. The LCC approved a proclamation making the week of Oct. 23 to 31 as Red Ribbon Week. The proclamation read, “On this 19th day of October, 2015,…the Logan County Commission does hereby proclaim October 23 through 31, 2015 as Red Ribbon Week and encourages its citizens to participate in drug prevention education activities, making a visible statement that we are strongly committed to a drug-free Logan County, West Virginia.”
