LOGAN — MedExpress Urgent Care has announced the opening of its newest neighborhood medical center in its home state in Logan on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
The new center will offer walk-in treatment for everyday illness and injury, including more advanced offerings such as X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains.
The center will also offer basic wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, sports physicals and tobacco cessation counseling and employer health services including workers’ compensation, injury care and pre-employment screenings.
“We’re thrilled that MedExpress has joined the Logan community to provide our families and employers with a convenient option for health care,” said Debrina Williams, Logan Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “We believe MedExpress will be an affordable option for those on-the-go or those with time-sensitive health care needs.” The new MedExpress center is staffed by a full medical team and is open 12 hours a day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
With no appointment necessary and most insurance accepted, MedExpress is available to treat a variety of walk-in care needs.
“Our medical team is committed to providing Logan residents with high-quality health care in a welcoming and friendly manner,” said Mike Dolin, MedExpress Area Manager for West Virginia. “Our convenient hours and wide array of services are great for families and employees’ busy schedules.”
As a neighborhood medical center, MedExpress plays an important role in the community’s health care. If needed, MedExpress can help patients coordinate care with other area health care providers such as primary care physicians, specialists and area hospitals to ensure patients receive the most appropriate follow-up care.
As a welcoming gift to the community and to provide protection against flu season, the new Logan center is offering free flu shots to patients ages 4 and up, Nov. 18 – Dec. 2.
