CHARLESTON — Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced today that a consumer representative from the Attorney General’s Office will conduct mobile office hours during December throughout southwestern West Virginia. The office representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area and provide them with tips on how to protect their personal information from scammers.
Peni Adams, a consumer outreach and compliance specialist with the office, will host the mobile office hours, which are scheduled below: •Dec. 1: 11 a.m. – Noon at theWyoming County Senior Center, 695 Mountaineer Hwy., Mullens
•Dec. 1: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Whitesville Public Library, 38175 Coal River Rd., Whitesville
•Dec. 2: 11 a.m. – Noon at the CASE WV Senior Center, 600 Trent St., Princeton
•Dec. 2: 2 p.m. –3:30 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library, 920 Mercer St., Princeton
•Dec. 8: 11 a.m. – Noon at the Mary E. Brown Senior Center, 306 McCoy Alley, Matewan
•Dec. 9: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Earl Jarvis Service Enrichment Center, 699 Stratton St., Logan
•Dec. 10: 11 a.m. – Noon at the Alum Creek Public Library, 255 Midway School Rd., Alum Creek
•Dec. 10: 1:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Hamlin City Hall, 220 Main St., Hamlin
•Dec. 10: 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Logan Public Library, 16 Wildcat Way, Logan
•Dec. 17: 10 a.m. – Noon at the Boone-Madison Public Library, 375 Main St., Madison
•Dec. 23: 11 a.m. – Noon at the West Hamlin Senior Center, Guyan St., West Hamlin
“Mobile office hours are a great way for consumers to speak with office representatives about specific concerns, prevalent scams or general questions.” Attorney General Morrisey said. “We encourage people to take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about consumer protection issues affecting their areas and how they can help protect their personal information.”
The mobile office hours are open to the public; reservations are not required.
