Logan man facing drug, gun charges
A Logan man is facing several charges following an execution of a search warrant on property located on Stratton Street on November 22.
According to the criminal complaint, the West Virginia State Police was assisting City of Logan officer J.D. Adkins in the search when officers located a hand gun on the premises. WVSP Communications informed WVSP Sr. Trooper J.G. Honaker that the gun was stolen out of Los Angeles County, California. “
Officers also reportedly located three individually wrapped packages of a light brown powdery substance believed to be Heroin. The complaint further lists that two digital scales were by the drug, a container that contained several marijuana roaches and a clear plastic bottle containing multiple clear capsules with a light brown powdery substance.
Charles David Fillinger III, 21, was charged with possession with intent (Herion), possession of marijuana and receiving and transferring stolen property (gun). His bond was set at $100,000.
Criminal complaints are public information. Charges listed in a complaint are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
