LOGAN, W.Va. — On Wednesday, December 16, 2015, students from across the county came to test their knowledge for the annual Logan County Academic Challenge. The educational tournament consists of a series of puzzles and games using critical thinking, language arts, and problem-solving skills.

This year’s winners for the elementary division (grades 4-6) are all students from Man Middle School: Christian Adkins, Erik Cochrane, Jaxon Tipton, Jacob Walls, and Autumn Zerfoss. The middle school winner (grades 7-8) is Levi Adkins from Chapmanville Middle. In the junior division (grades 9-10), all of the winners are from Man High School and include: Grace Crosby, Noah Ellis, Hailey Fenner, Allison Justice, and Hope Weese. This year’s senior division winners (grades 11-12) include: Logan Adkins (Logan), Amiri Bartley (Logan), Isaac Collins (Man), Corey France (Logan), and Grant Gambill (Man).

All county winners will compete in the 2016 National Academic Challenge to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.
