LOGAN, W.Va. — Logan County Sheriff Sonya M. Dingess Porter has announced two new deputy sheriffs were sworn into office by Logan County Clerk John Turner on Wednesday, December 30.

Coty Crum, of the Man area, and Zachary Lilly, of the Chapmanville area, will be attending the West Virginia State Police Basic Academy where, upon their completion, will become certified law enforcement officers.

“Coty Crum and Zachary Lilly are two excellent candidates that were selected by the Logan County Deputy Sheriff’s Review Board. Both are outstanding men that are excited about serving Logan County,” Porter said. “We look forward to adding these young men to our law enforcement division. The hiring of both of these deputies was approved by the Logan County Commission which will add more officers to help protect and serve our citizens of Logan County.”
