Summer meals available for children


The Logan County Board of Education will be providing meals to children during the summer through the sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

Breakfast and lunch will be open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate.

Meals will be served at the following dates and locations:

June 25-July 31 — Logan High School: Breakfast from 7:30-8:30 and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 25-July 31 — Buffalo Elementary: Breakfast from 7:45-8:30 and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-July 31 — Chapmanville Middle: Breakfast from 7:45-8:30 and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-JuIy 31 — Man Central: Breakfast from 7:45-8:30 and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-July 31 — Omar Elementary: Breakfast from 7:45-8:30 and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-July 2 — Girl Scouts at State Park: Breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-July 31 — Energy Express at Logan Grade: Breakfast from 8-8:30 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 29-July 10 — STEM camp @Logan: Breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

July 6-JuIy 31 — Summer Enrichment at Logan Middle: Breakfast from 8-8:30 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 25-July 31 — McConnell Baptist: Lunch from 11:30-12:30

June 25-July 31 — YouthWorks at Old Logan Central Junior High: Lunch from 11:30-12:30 Mon.-Thurs.

July 7, 14, 21, 28 — Buffalo Memorial Library: Lunch from 11:30-12:30 Tuesday

July 7, 14, 21, 28 — Logan Public Library: Lunch from 11:30-12:30 Tuesdays

July 13-July 17 — Boy Scouts at Camp Chief Logan: Breakfast from 8-8:30 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30-12:30

July 20-July 24 — Mallory Church of God: Dinner from 6:30-7 p.m.

A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months.
