LOGAN — Following the resignation of the Logan County Board of Education member Mark McGrew, the group is now looking to fill his vacated seat.
McGrew submitted his official resignation during a regularly-scheduled meeting on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.
McGrew recognized every board member for their commitment to education and thanked the people of Logan County for allowing him the opportunity to serve the students of Logan County Schools. McGrew has resigned in order to run for another office in the upcoming election.
Any person wishing to be considered for the BOE opening should submit his or her letter of interest via hand delivery or fax to the attention of: Superintendent of Logan County Schools Phyllis Doty and Logan County Board of Education President Jim Frye, 506 Holly Avenue, West Logan, WV 25601. Faxed letters should be sent to 304-792-2034.
All letters of interest must be received by Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at 4 p.m. No late submissions will be accepted.
The Logan County Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 4 p.m. to accept letters of interest and discuss the proper procedures for filling Mr. McGrew’s vacancy.
