CRHS choir opens House session


The Chapmanville Regional High School (CRHS) Chamber Choir sang the National Anthem at the opening of the West Virginia House of Delegates session Friday, January 29, 2016. The invitation was issue by Delegate Michel G. Moffatt (R-Putnam, 22). While at the capitol, students met with Logan County singing sensation Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Secretary of State Natalie Tenant and Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. The 15 member Chamber Choir is an honors class at CRHS. Students must audition to be placed in the group. Pictured, the CRHS Chamber Choir with Governor Earl Ray Tomblin.


Members of the choir are: Savannah Richardson, Jala Gore, Caley Epling, Amber Wiley, Debra McCoy, Fiath Bell, Eric Morris, Joe Phipps, Christian Farley, D.J. Conley, Chris Thompson, Emily Epling, Jenna Bundy, Madie Pridemore, Shiann Sigmon and Katie Sperry. Choir director is Brenda Hager.
