LOGAN, W.Va. — March 1 is the first day to purchase tickets for the upcoming Easter production “By the Way of the Cross.”
“By the Way of the Cross” is a passion play that will display the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“This is a wonderful passion play. It has beautiful music and really has a way of touching the hearts of the audience members,” said Joshua Butcher, who plays the role of Jesus of Nazareth.
“By the Way of the Cross” will be at the Coalfield Jamboree Theatre in downtown Logan March 23 – 26.
All shows will start at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and groups of 15 or more will get $2 off each ticket they purchace.
“This is truly about getting the message of salvation to the lost. We wanted to make sure that we produced a high-quality experience, so the audience members feel wrapped up in the show and really allow themselves to focus on the message,” Jamie Butcher, the director of the show said. “With such a large production, we have incurred some costs that we will need to be able to pay. However; any and all profit will be given to Beth Haven Christian School.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Hatfield McCoy Convention and Visitors Bureau in downtown Logan, the UPS Store of Logan, the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library in Man and Aracoma Drug in Chapmanville.
Tickets will only be on sale during the business hours of each business. Tickets will also be available at the door nightly starting at 6 p.m..
