Silver Alert issued for local couple

SHARPLES, W.Va. West Virginia State Police issued a Silver Alert Monday morning for a missing husband and wife last spotted in Boone County.

Harrison J. Duty, 77, and Roseann Duty, 75, of Sharples, were last seen about 4 p.m. Sunday in the Madison area, where they had gone to get something to eat, State Police Sgt. Andy Perdue said.

Roseann Duty has a heart condition and Harrison Duty has dementia, State Police said.

The couple drives a blue Ford Fiesta. There is no reason to suspect foul play, troopers said, but they are concerned because of the couple’s medical issues.
