Staff Report

LOGAN, W.Va. — Local Attorney Brian R. Abraham, of the law firm of Abraham & Ilderton PLLC, was recently recognized by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a “Top 10” Family Lawyer in West Virginia for 2016.

The NAFLA award is a peer nominated, board reviewed and independent selection process to determine who the preeminent family law attorneys are in each state. Before receiving the recognition, the nominated attorneys are rigorously evaluated and researched before they can pass the final selection stage and be approved by the Board of Governors.

Abraham has been practicing law primarily in southern West Virginia for 20 years and concentrates his practice in Personal Injury, Criminal Defense and, of course, Family Law. He is a 1996 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law and served as the Prosecuting Attorney for Logan County from 1999 until 2009 when he opened his law firm in Logan.

Abraham has also served as Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army on both active and reserve duty for the past 13 years. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Abraham and his wife, local lawyer Stephanie Abraham, reside near Chapmanville with their two sons, Gavin and Chase.
