GILBERT – The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department (MCSD) has scheduled a sobriety checkpoint Friday, August 5.
The MCSD will be having saturated patrols in the city limits from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The sobriety checkpoint will be held from 6 p.m. until 12 midnight.
Sobriety checkpoints or roadblocks involve law enforcement officials stopping every vehicle on a public roadway and investigating the possibility that the driver might be too impaired to drive.
