A Logan County man is in jail after he allegdly choked and punched a six-year old girl.
Seth Aaron Browning, 28, of Switzer was arrested and charged with battery for the incident which occurred in Kanawha County sometime between July 31st and August 3rd.
Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputies reportedly answered a call to Church Drive in the Rand Area August 3.
The allegedly caller informed emergency dispatchers Browning was making threats of hurting young girls.
The child was reportedly interviewed by the Child Advocacy Center at Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston this week.
She allegedly told investigators that Browning put her in a headlock, chocked her and then punched her in the stomach.
Her mother reportedly contacted authorities after her daughter informed her of the incident.
The mother reportedly told police she confronted Browning and he admitted to the attack.
Police say Browning and the child’s mother are not dating but were friends.
Browning is being charged with battery.
Browning is being housed in the South Central Regional Jail in Charleston with bail set at $5000.
