WILLIAMSON – The Tug Valley Road Runners Club has three races scheduled for the month of September.
The first race of the month will be the Bill Smith Memorial Bulldog 5K/ 1 mile walk. The race will be held on Saturday, September 3. Registration will be held in the Delbarton Town Square from the hours of 6:00 to 7:45 a.m. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost to participate will be $20 for early registers and $25 on race day.
The Coal Dust Run 5K Run/Walk has been scheduled for the following weekend on Saturday, September 10. On race day, registration will be held at The Coal House in downtown Williamson beginning at 4:30 p.m. Race day registration fee will be $30 for all ages. There is an early registration incentive. Those that register for the race throughout the remainder of August can register $25 for Adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. After September 1 the price will go up to $30 for adults and $25 for children.
The final race of September will be the Frank O’Brien Memorial 10KRun/5K Walk. The race will be held on Saturday, September 17 as part of the King Coal Festival. Registration for the race will be held at the Williamson Field House in West Williamson from the hours of 7 to 9 a.m. Prices for the 10K Run/Walk will be $35 on race day for adults and $20 on race day for children 12 and under.
The 5K Run/Walk will be $25 on race day for adults and $15 on race day for children 12 and under. Those that register early will receive a reduced registration fee. Adults that register prior to the race for the 10KRun/Walk will pay $30 and $15 for children 12 and under. Adults that register for the 5K Run/Walk prior to the race will pay $20 and $10 for children 12 and under.
