LOGAN, W.Va. — Make sure your calendar is marked for Sunday, September 25, 2016, so you can join the 11th Annual Steve “Duco” Ratz Ride.
The ride will leave from Logan Motorcycle Sales on Route 44 at 1 p.m. Registration will start at 10:30 a.m.
As in past years Steve’s son, Mike Ratz will have mapped out a great ride through southern West Virginia and east Kentucky. Normally lasting a couple hours, and there will be a cold soft drink and food waiting for you when you return, plus prize drawings, a 50/50 drawing, and “Best” and “Worst” hand trophies.
This is the fifth year all proceeds will go to help the kids served by the June Montgomery Harless Children’s Home, a non-profit emergency shelter which temporarily houses abandoned, abused and neglected youth. The Harless Center is a program of the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia. Representatives of the center will there to share information with you. Many of their volunteers enjoy motorcycles and will be riding, which makes this an extra special event.
With your registration of $20 per bike and $10 per passenger, you’ll be helping children at the Harless Center, have an enjoyable Sunday afternoon of riding, a free 11th Annual T-shirt, enjoy some food and soft drinks, be eligible for prizes after the ride, and maybe win a trophy or the 50/50 drawing.
