The 40th Annual Logan County Arts and Crafts Fair is set to host a showing of sundry artisanal creations, live music, five kilometer run, an ATV/UTV “poker run” and a “Logan’s Got Talent” Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Talent Show.
The Logan County Arts and Crafts Fair will begin Friday August 7, 2015 at 3 p.m. and will end Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Along with the variety of artisanal arts, crafts and foods, the event will also host musical entertainment on indoor and outdoor stages.
“We’ll be featuring different artisans in the booth. It’s a variety from a gentleman that makes wooden spoons to another gentleman that does leather crafting. We are also featuring… Grow Appalachia. We will have farmers there with home grown produce, and we will also have honey and cow butter. In addition to that there is a children’s painting activity and we encourage folks to register for those spaces, and that is being done though Leah Vance Photography,” explained Debrina Williams, director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
Friday August 7 at 6:30 p.m., the Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Talent Show will begin. The event is free to enter and cash prizes will be awarded to winners. Applications for the talent show can be picked up at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and applications must be received at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce by July 31 at 4 p.m..
During the talent show Friday evening, entertainment will begin on the outdoor stage with The Horse Traders and Tyler Childress. Saturday, The Aracoma Story 5 kilometer run and walk and the ATV/UTV charity poker run will be staged along with entertainment from The Street Players and Coal Fired.
The Logan County Chamber of Commerce is still accepting applications for vendors for the Arts and Crafts Fair.
