HENLAWSON, W.Va. — The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) will host a West Virginia Animal Welfare Forums 2016 at Museum in the Park at Chief Logan State Park from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 8. Co-hosting the event is Logan Animal Hospital.
At the forum, the West Virginia HSUS state director Heather Severt will introduce attendees to the HSUS’s local and national efforts and accomplishments, discuss animal protection issues on the horizon — including animal abandonment, tethering and proper reporting of animal cruelty — and talk about working together to help animals across West Virginia.
Participants will also learn how to be a more effective advocate for animals, discover upcoming opportunities to help — like Humane Lobby Day and HSUS’s District Leader program — and meet like-minded people in the community.
The Animal Welfare Forums only happen once a year, and space is limited. To attend, you must register to reserve your seat.
