Russell Moore and IIIrd Time Out will be in concert Sat., Oct. 15, at the Coalfield Jamboree in Logan.


LOGAN, W.Va. — The Coalfield Jamboree will have Russel Moore and IIIrd Time Out in concert this Saturday, October 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out are celebrating their 25th year while on tour this year. The bluegrass band was formed in 1991 in Cumming, Ga.

The band has released 13 albums and two greatest hits collections since 1991. A regular on bluegrass radio, their works have earned them many individual and group IBMA and SPBGMA award nominations including the prestigious IBMA Vocal Group of the Year award which they’ve won numerous times. Moore himself is the International Bluegrass Music Association’s most awarded male vocalist, taking home the award a record five times.

The band consists of Moore (vocals/guitar), Keith McKinnon (vocals/banjo), Justen Haynes (vocals/fiddle), Wayne Benson (vocals/mandolin) and Blake Johnson (vocals/bass).
