LOGAN ─ The US Small Business Administration’s West Virginia District Office will host Boots to Business: Reboot, an entrepreneurship training course for Veterans and their spouses Wednesday July 15, at 8:30 a.m. through Thursday July 16, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. at the Veterans Center, 21 Veterans Avenue, Henlawson, West Virginia 25624.
Boots to Business: Reboot is a two-day course introducing veterans to business ownership fundamentals. During the event, presenters lead participants through the key steps of evaluating business concepts and developing a business plan. The program introduces participants to a network of lifetime business support available through SBA’s partner network, including: Veteran Business Outreach Centers, Women’s Business Centers, Small Business Development Centers and SCORE Counselors.
“The military has a track record of producing outstanding leaders, explaining why nearly 1 in 10 U.S. entrepreneurs are veterans” states Karen Friel, SBA’s West Virginia district director. “Trainings like this help develop their skills, connect them to the right resources, and lead them to be successful entrepreneurs in their communities.”
The event is located at The Veterans Center, 21 Veterans Avenue, Henlawson, WV 25624. Register for the free event on the Find Events and Workshops in Your Area link at www.sba.gov/wv or contact Larry Batten at 304-623-7447 or [email protected]
