LOGAN, W.Va. — The Logan County Charitable and Educational Foundation Inc. recently presented a grant to the Salvation Army in support of their recently opened The Family Store.

“This will provide a place for the public to shop and it will provide income that will enable The Army to continue programs for those they serve,” Jean Ray, president of the Foundation said. “This will also benefit the City of Logan in that it keeps Stratton Street store fronts full which will encourage people to shop and support local efforts.”

Ray said the Foundation’s board of directors believe in and are happy to support the endeavor of Lt. Johnson in operating The Family Store and programs The Army provides for families.

“The Salvation Army would like to thank the Logan County Charitable and Educational Foundation and all the other people and organizations that made this store reopening a reality,” Lt. Justin Johnson said. “We look forward to being able to serve this community for many years to come.”

The Family Store is located on Stratton Street and is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
