Jon Pack, 25 of Sarah Ann, was charged with five counts of wanton endangerment, five counts of shooting within 500 ft. of a dwelling and brandishing on April 22 by the West Virginia State Police.
Pack, a member of the Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department, was allegedly seen leaving the scene of a fire the night of April 22, where he then went up the road and got into a verbal altercation with the mother of his child. While arguing with her, he pulled out a firearm and shot in the air multiple times. Witnesses say he then left the area, walking back down the road, and again shot multiple times.
Approximately five shots were fired in all. The assistant fire chief claims he saw Pack fire the second set of shots.
Pack’s bail is set at $10,000.
- Billy Ray Bryant, 39 of Chapmaville, was charged on April 22 by the WVSP for burglary, domestic assault and domestic battery.
Trooper N. C. Boothe responded to a burglary complaint on April 22. When He arrived on scene, the victim told him that Bryant had broke into her home using a screw driver. She said he then proceeded to jump on top of her and tried to stab her with the screw driver.
Boothe left after the aforementioned situiation allegedly occured, but came back to the victims house numerous times pounding on the door and threatening to kill her.
Trp. Boothe found Bryant hiding in a bush in a field near the victim’s home.
Bryants bail has been set for $5,000.
- A warranted arrest was made by the WVSP on April 25 for Krista Anne Cook, 26 of Huntington, for a crime she allegedly committed with two accomplices on March 19.
On the evening of March 19, the WVSP responded to an emergency call in the Holden area in reference to a robbery.
Upon arriving on scene, Trooper J. E. Garren spoke with the victim. She told him that Cook, along with two men, picked her up in an old Ford Mustang and drove her to a remote area. Once they arrived, one of the men allegedly kicked the victim in the face and knocked her unconscious.
When she awoke, approximately $230 and an Android smart phone were missing from her pockets, and the defendants had fled.
Bail has not yet been posted for Cook, and neither of her accomplices have been arrested.
