Bringing smiles to our U.S. Troops
As we prepare for the upcoming Christmas mail campaign, Mail for Our Military would like to extend special thanks to the Man High School Beta Club, which participated in the most recent campaign.
Led by Alicia R. Mullins, they were the top high school and Beta Club in West Virginia, with participants from Man, Accoville, Amherstdale, Bruno, Davin, Kistler, Lorado, Lyburn, and Mallory.
Mail is received from all across the nation, mixed thoroughly before being divided into hundreds of packages — both large and small — then sent to military units across the U.S. and around the world.
As the continuation of the Vietnam Mail Call project which was launched in 1965, this mail has been bringing smiles to our men and women in uniform for almost a half-century.
Anyone who would like to know how to join the Mail for Our Military campaign can receive complete information and instructions by sending their name and mailing address to P.O. Box 100, New Madrid, MO 63869 (time is of the essence).
The troops will thank you, and so do we.
New Madrid, Mo.
Thank you for all you do to help encourage public discourse and highlight important stories. I read the Internet version of the Logan Banner every day. It helps me stay abreast of what is happening in our community. I have to say that I have been disappointed a few times.
I don’t remember seeing anything about the recent levy that not only will affect my taxes, but more importantly will affect the education my children receive. Instead of getting the information from a credible and authoritative source like the Logan Banner I had to do a search on the Internet to inform myself. The results I found were disappointing.
I know times are tough, but it would be nice if I could turn to the Logan Banner to get information on important local events like the levy. It might also be nice to see a little investigative journalism that covers topics from both a pro and con side so I can make more informed decisions.
My training and experience has taught me that communication is critical to success. The Logan Banner is a key player in Logan County and is critical to our future success. Please help our citizens make good decisions by providing more timely and relevant information.
Thanks again for everything you do for our community!
