Man Middle, LMS win league titles


The Logan Middle School football team made history last week as the Timberwolves claimed their first-ever Mid-Valley Conference championship with a 36-28 win at home over Ripley. LMS finished 8-1 — the best ever record in school history — and became the first Timberwolves’ team to go undefeated in conference play. Logan never trailed, held a commanding 30-14 halftime lead and then coasted.

The Man Middle School football team won the Black Diamond championship with a 16-14 win over Duval on Saturday afternoon in the league title game at Scott High School. The Pioneers closed out the season 7-1 and gained revenge Duval, which beat MMS in last week’s regular season finale. Turn to sports for more on the game.
