HENLAWSON — The 2014 annual Watts Reunion was held at Chief Logan State Park, Shelter No. 1 Sat., on Sat., July 5, 2014. The reunion is a yearly homecoming for the elder Watts’ as they spent their childhood living in Little Buffalo, now Chief Logan State Park.
The shelter was draped in the American flag in honor of our nation and remembrance of Donald Davis. The shelter also sported the red, white and blue themed decorations.
Attending this year’s event was Stevie and Jacque Shamblin; Rylee and Reese Shamblin; Eddie and Stephanie Payne; Allison Payne; Summer and Scott Erickson; Brooke Erickson; Delmas and Eugenia Watts; Dottie Workman; Ann and Marty Michalek; Julie A. Davis; Sarah and James Allen; Bailey, Kennedy and Riley Allen; Lola Farmer; Jack Farmer; Steve and Sharon Shamblin; Mike and Linda Tillia and Alex Tillia, all from Ohio, and Jerry May of Manassas, Va.
Brian and Pamela Ferguson, Dylan and Hayden Ferguson, Diana Hodge, Carri Hodge, David Hodge, Jason and Amanda Hodge, Ameilia Hodge, Donna and Larry Bell, Hack and Harlie Jo Watts, Chuck Mullins, Margaret Ferguson, David and Stacey Mullins, Haley and Allison Mullins, Sandra and Terry Ramey, Tara Ramey, J.D. and Kim Vinson, Hannah, Jacob, and Emma Vinson, Michael Jeffrey, Ruby Ferguson, Marsha and Kenneth Watts, Brenda Mullins, Amy and Arlen Powers and Angel Rogas, all of West Virginia.
Blessing for the food was given by Haskell Watts. The day was spent renewing the families love for each other and being updated on each family. Questions were also asked “Aunt Ruby” Ferguson about the older Watts generations and with answers by the younger generations. Numerous other games such as corn hole were played and medals given to winners.
The evening closed with the usual hot dog, hamburger and pinto bean feast.
Next year’s reunion will be Sat., July 4, 2015.
