The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) Hatfield McCoy Elk Country Chapter’s 1st annual banquet will be held Sat., July 12 at the Chief Logan Conference Center.
RMEF is working with WV DNR to pave the way for an official elk-reintroduction program right here in southwest West Virginia. When that program kicks-off, the funding generated at our West Virginia banquets will be crucial in financing the program.
This annual banquet will serve as a fundraiser to help the cause.
During the banquet there will be many activities for attendees to show their support: auctions and drawings are packed with top-shelf firearms, dream hunts, home accents and “guns, guns, and more guns.”
The Kentucky Progressive Drawing will offer a TC Venture 7mm-08 giveaway during the banquet. On September 6, all 24 winner’s names from all events in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia will be placed in a drawing for a fully guided/outfitted 2014 Kentucky elk hunt, tag included. The tag is good for the entire KY elk season, for archery and firearms, season-appropriate, September 20-mid January 2015.
The winner will also be invited to attend RMEF elk camp, starting October 3, for the first week of the bull-rifle season. The camp will include tent-lodging, food prepared by our volunteer chefs, volunteer wranglers for your harvested bull, and a professional elk guide.
Since 1984, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation conserved more than 6.3 million acres of prime elk country, opened or secured access to nearly 670,000 acres of previously off-limits land, helped restore elk to six states, and stood tall for America’s great hunting heritage.
Registration for the banquet is as follows:
• Single Attendee (one meal and supporting membership) — $70
• Couple Attendee (two meals and one supporting membership) — $105
• Youth Attendee (one meal and youth membership) — $40
• Big Bull Table (one sponsor membership, a chance at winning the sponsor rifle, eight meals and $160 in general drawing tickets)—a $740 value for $600
