News reports say firefighters responded to a call to the Lana Kay Apartments near Chapmanville, at 8:30 a.m.

The apartment where the fire started was tenant occupied, but nobody was home at the time of the fire.

The blaze was contained in the apartment and the fire extinguished within 30 minutes.

There were no reported injuries or damages.

Reports say there was no indication of arson and the fire will probably be ruled as accidental.

The fire departments of several communities responded, including Henlawson, Chapmanville and Logan.
