4 charged in meth lab bust

MALLORY — A traffic stop over a busted windshield resulted in four Man area residents being charged with operating a clandestine meth lab on October 12.


According to criminal complaints filed by the West Virginia State Police, an officer was conducting a separate investigation when he noticed a maroon Ford Taurus with a cracked windshield.


After making a traffic stop on the vehicle, the officer observed that the four passengers were acting suspicious and nervous. While doing an officer safety pat down, the officer allegedly located a Suboxone strip and a small container he believed to contain meth.


In the vehicle, the officer reportedly found what he believed to be an active clandestine lab in the front passenger floor board. The WVSP Meth Lab specialist was called to the scene to remove the item from the vehicle.


Those arrested and their charges were:


• Heather Michelle Wilson, 31, of Mallory, was booked for possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy, and operate/attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab. Her bail was set at $25,000.


• Rodney Elmer Frye, 35, of Man, was booked for conspiracy, and operate/attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab. His bail was set at $25,000.


• David Allen Brown, 34, of Mallory, was booked for conspiracy, and operate/attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab. His bail was set at $25,000.


• Stephanie Ellen Prince, 25, of Mallory, was booked for conspiracy, and operate/attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab. Her bail was set at $25,000.


In other Magistrate Court News:


• Robert Ray Johnson, 46, was booked on Oct. 12 by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department for obstructing and domestic battery. His bail was set at $3,500.


• Manda Louise Sheppard, 24, was booked on Oct. 13 by the LCSD for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and obstruction. Her bail was set at $2,000.


• Timothy Howard Messer, 34, was booked on Oct. 13 by the WVSP for prescription fraud. His bail was set at $5,000.


• Julice Perdieu, 30, was booked on Oct. 13 by the WVSP for 1st possession of Marijuana, failure to maintain control of vehicle, improper/expired registration and obstructing. His bail was set at $2,500.
