Criminal complaints filed in the Magistrate Court of Logan County document the arrest of four individuals in reference to a robbery in the community of Kistler near Man, W.Va. Criminal complaints are accusations and are not an indication of guilt. Defendants are innocent until proven guilty.


West Virginia State Police were advised of a robbery in progress at Kistler. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who told them two males , one in a gray hoodie and the other in a black hoodie, had left in a gold Grand Am with Illinois license plates.


The troopers drove through the community and were able to locate the vehicle at Stollings. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and were able to locate two of the victim’s purses, along with a large amount of cash and multiple controlled substance pills in several unmarked bottles in the vehicle.


The officers found four defendants in the vehicle and had been advised by the victim the defendants had pushed her down and took her items.


Michael Adkins, 31, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with robbery, grand larceny, burglary, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance with intent. His bond was set at $250,000.


Shawn Carter, 23, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with robbery, grand larceny, burglary, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance with intent. His bond was set at $250,000.


Clarissa Dawn Adkins, 26, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with accessory before/after the fact, possession with intent and conspiracy. Her bond was set at $75,000.


Tometta L. Serfass, 47, of Decata, Illinois, was arrested and charged with accessory before/after the fact, possession with intent and conspiracy.
