THREE MILE CURVE — Logan Center had a busy day Fri., April 25, when it hosted a “meet your candidate’s” day for residents of the center.
The event was considered a big success by Recreational Direcotor Betty Conn.
“We were blessed to have 12 candidates take time out of their busy schedule to take part in the event,” Conn said.
The Logan County Commission also signed a proclamation for “National Nursing Home Week”.
“Each year, Logan County members come to the nursing home for the signing of the proclamation in recognition of this very special week,” Conn said. “This year’s national theme is “Living the Aloha Spirit.”
Conn said lots of fun was planned for Logan Center residents and staff.
Some of the candidates participating in the Meet the Candidates were :
- Debbie Mendez, Robin Mutters, Harry Freeman and Pat Joe White; Board of Education
- Willie Akers and Bob Stidham; County Commission
- Rupie Philips and David Graham; House of Delegates, 24th District
- Richard Ojeda and a representative from Congressman Nick Joe Rahall’s office; U.S. Congress, 3rd District
