MORGANTOWN — Kristin Marie Reed and Michae1 Keith Brewster were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July13, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Morgantown with Rev. Michael Atkinson performing the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Reed and the granddaughter of Rev. Alfred C. Reed, and wife Barbara, all of Morgantown, the late Dorothy E. Reed, and A. “Louis” and Myra A. Terrico. Kristin is a 2005 graduate of Morgantown High School and a 2011 graduate of WVU’s Benedum Education Program with a bachelor’s in mathematics and a master’s in secondary education. She is a mathematics teacher at MHS.
Michael, son of Keith Brewster of Logan and Patricia Brewster of Chapmanville, is the grandson of Edward and Diana Brewster of Logan and the late Rev. Lanna and Bobbie Adams. He is a 2005 graduate of Chapmanville High School and graduated from WVU in 2010 and 2012, receiving bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and industrial math/statistics, as well as a master’s in secondary education. He is an instructor/advisor at WVU.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless satin and organza ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and chapel-length train. The gown was accented with lace appliqués, Swarovski crystals, sequins and silver beadwork. She carried a bouquet of white and blue-tipped roses, with hydrangeas and a lace rosebud fashioned from her mother’s wedding dress. She wore a fingertip veil with silver beading.
The bride’s attendants were friends of the bride, Victoria Bugg of Morgantown; Alison Henry of Exmore, Va.; Jennifer McCarthy of Hackensack, N.J.; Mallory Willink of Waxhaw, N.C.; and Larina Cool, cousin of the bride, of Morgantown. Attendants wore cobalt blue strapless dresses accented in black, infinity necklaces and carried floral bouquets of roses and hydrangeas.
Attending the groom were Christopher Brewster, brother of the groom, Brian Reed, brother of the bride, both of Morgantown; friends of the groom, Erin Long of Boston, Mass.; Ryan Sigler of Morgantown. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxes with cobalt blue vests and ties with white rosebud boutonnieres. Erin wore a black strapless dress accented in cobalt blue, an infinity necklace and a wrist corsage of white and blue-tipped roses.
Wedding music included a vibraphone piece performed by the bride’s brother, and a brass choir selection per formed by Bill, Tim, Wesley, Kristin and Grant Rumble and Jessi Rumble Morgan.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus in Star City. The wedding cake was a gift created by the bride’s family friend, Karen Bartolina.
Following a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple have made their home in Morgantown.
