October has brought financial support from two new Foundations to the local Logan County Child Advocacy Center.

Brickstreet Foundation and the West Virginia State Bar Foundation both contributed $2,500 to help underwrite the cost of providing a trained forensic interviewer on staff to assist child victims of abuse crimes. These donations joined Cliffs Energy’s $3,000 donation for general support all received in the last 30 days.

“It is wonderful to have a group of ‘angels’ around,” Bob Noone, LCCAC Board President, said. “While the government may ‘shut down’ — our clients don’t have the luxury of shutting down their abusers without help from places and people like Logan CAC.”

The Logan County Child Advocacy Center is a nonprofit corporation and is listed as a West Virginia charity. All donations are tax deductible and larger contributions qualify for state income tax credits.
