HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Jo Ann Mills Terry, 54, of Henlawson, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013, at her residence.
Born July 27, 1959, in Huntington, she is the daughter of Haskell and Cassie Mills of Henlawson.
Preceding her in death was her maternal grandparents, Elijah and Minnie Tooley Adkins, and paternal grandparents, Kelly and Laura Watts Mills.
Jo Ann earned a Certificate in Long Term Care in 1993 and an Associate of Arts Degree in 1996 from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. Jo Ann was a loving and generous person, and many called her friend.
Additionally, she is loved and survived by a son, Patrick Sean Ballard II, and a grandson, Sean Dewayne Ballard, of Henlawson. Additional family left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Patricia Clay of West Logan, and Delana (John) Lackey of Summersville; a nephew, Michael David Shell of Logan; two nieces, Sarah Lackey of Newtown, Pa., and Laurel (Mark) Basil of Martinsburg; great-nieces and nephews include Alexandria Shell of Lyburn, Alyssa Shell and Franklin Shell of Logan and Rosiland (Rosie) Basil of Martinsburg,, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at noon Friday, August 9, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Joe Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery at Branchland.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
