CHAPMANVILLE —The Chapmanville Regional High School volleyball team improved to 5-5 with a 3-1 Cardinal Conference victory over Wayne on Monday night at the CRHS gym.

Chapmanville first-year coach Johnny Williamson was pleased with the win.

“We just got two starters back healthy,” he said. “But that has allowed us to let two sophomores get some experience. I think we finally have a good lineup together. Junior Bethany Perkins played awesome tonight.”

The Lady Tigers were scheduled to travel to Man on Tuesday night. Chapmanville then plays its other county rival, Logan, on Thursday at LHS in a 6 p.m. match time.

CRHS goes to Scott on Oct. 8, Mingo Central on Oct. 10, Sissonville on Oct. 15 and Wayne on Oct. 17 before returning home to host the Chapmanville tourney on Oct. 19 at Chapmanville’s Danny Godby Gymnasium.
