MAN — The Man High School girls’ basketball team dropped a pair of games at home, falling 44-39 to Williamstown on Friday night and 61-36 to Buffalo on Thursday at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.


Man fell to 1-5 on the season with the two defeats.


Williamstown upped its record to 2-4 with the victory over the Lady Billies.


Morgan Conn led Man with 16 points in the Buffalo game. Hunter Harvey had 10, while freshman Courtney Hinkle had six. Tiffany Belcher and Hannah Harvey tossed in two points each.


Buffalo led 13-12 after one quarter, 28-19 at the half and 37-27 after three. A 24-9 fourth quarter by the Bison then broke the game wide open.


Olivia Dunn paced Buffalo with 19 points. Chelsey Parkins had 14 and Paige Roush 10. Katie Allen just kissed double digits in scoring with nine points.


In the Williamstown game, Man was led by Conn’s 12 points. McCoy had eight, while Hunter Harvey had seven and Hannah Harvey dropping in six. Haylee Daniels had four points and Hinkle had two.


Man is now off for Christmas break. The Lady Billies don’t play again until Jan. 7 when the Charleston Catholic Irish come to town.


The Lady Billies then host Sherman on Jan. 9 and Greater Beckley Christian on Jan. 13. Man then goes to Cross Lanes Christian on Jan. 14 and then to Tug Valley on Jan. 16 before hosting Class AA Wyoming East on Jan. 20.
