During a modest ceremony at RAF Menwith Hill, James D.Buskirk was promoted to Major. His Battalion Commander presided over the ceremony saying that you are not promoted solely on potential in the U.S. Army but ability, and that Major Buskirk has clearly demonstrated that over his career. Buskirk attributed his success to his spouse, Kelly, who has supported him throughout his career in the service. He and his wife have three children, Kaitlyn, James Ryan and Brenna. Buskirk is the son of Barbara and Jim Buskirk of Logan.
