Charleston Catholic then scored its final seven points from the free throw line as they would hit on 7-for-14 at the charity stripe to preserve the victory.
The Lady Irish outscored the Lady Billies 11-7 in the final quarter of play.
Man assistant coach Julia Fleming coached the team during the game. Man head coach Tonia Ward was absent due to a death in the family.
“We missed 40 layups tonight and that was the difference in the game,” Fleming said.

The Lady Billies were scheduled to return to the hardwood on Thursday night at home against Tug Valley. Man then plays at Class AAA county rival Logan on Monday at 1 p.m.
