LOGAN – The Logan Police Department and West Virginia State Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Little General Store in the Oakwood Plaza at Fountain Place.
According to Logan Police Chief E.K. Harper, a man using a white handkerchief as a mask entered the store at about 10:20 p.m. and threatened the clerk, showing what appeared to be the outline of a gun inside his pocket. The incident was recorded on the store’s video surveillance camera and copies are being made for release to assist with locating the suspect.
Chief Harper saw the video and describes the man as white, about six feet tall, of average weight and build. He was wearing a gray hoodie at the time of the robbery.
A large amount of cash was taken, but the amount is not being released at this time.
Logan Police Department Patrolman David White is the investigating officer, working with the WVSP. Logan County Sheriff’s Department Deputies N.M. Booth and K-9 unit Jett assisted Wednesday night.
Chief Harper asks anyone having any information about the robbery to call the Logan Police Department or the Logan Detachment of the WVSP.
I suggest the people of Logan get a gun and blow these crooks away! That mother in Georgia who shot the crook in the face five times (somehow he lived) should be given a metal.
If the riffraff thought these people had guns, they wouldn't chance it because they are cowards. I have a hunting rifle, but all my friends have arsenals and I frankly don’t blame them.
