The Logan Air Evac Lifeteam base has been selected as their company’s 2012 Region 2 Base of the Year. Region 2 consists of Air Evac Lifeteam bases in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and West Virginia.

The Base of the Year Award is presented to the base in the Air Evac Lifeteam system that best exemplifies the company’s mission, including community service, education, and scene work.

“The Logan base has a consistency in its leadership, provides excellent patient care, and has a dedicated and engaging crew,” said Regional Director of Base Operations Janie Ward. “Teamwork is very evident in everything they do, and they have tremendous community support.”

Ward also noted the crew members’ willingness to teach continuing education classes for area providers.

“The Base of the Year award is something to be proud of, and the Logan base is very deserving of this honor,” said Ward.

The Logan base is located at 3047 Band Mill Hollow road and is led by Program Director Marty Hurley, who is in charge of all operations at the base.
