PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Ms. Patricia Ann Vankovich, 60, of Pecks Mill, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., after a long illness.

Born February 13, 1952, in Logan, she was a daughter of Virgil and Loveada Baird of Pecks Mill.

Patty graduated from Logan High School and the Charleston School of Beauty Culture. She enjoyed her job as a hair stylist at JC Penny in Charleston and was a former employee of Belva Coal Company.

Preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Kataria June Hurley.

Additional survivors include her daughter, Angela Dawn Baird of Boone County; son, Ryan Keith (Amanda) Vankovich of McConnell; grandson, Brooks Ryan Vankovich; sister, Margie (Stan) Ferguson of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and many relatives and friends.

Patty dearly loved her family and will be sadly missed.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Ken Connelly, pastor of the Pecks Mill Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.

Loveada, Margie, and Stan - I am so sorry to just now learn of Patty's death. I've lost touch with you all for many years. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
