•PMRs are hourly-rate employees without employee benefits. $9.45 Hr

•PMRs work in the absence of the postmaster (usually every Saturday and when the postmaster is off work during the week.)

•The PMR position will not lead to a permanent (career) position with the Postal Service, but a PMR may apply for postmaster positions.

To be eligible:

1.You must be available to work when needed even with short notice.

2.You must meet our personal suitability requirements. Your criminal conviction

records, military records, and prior employment records will be checked.

3.You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. You must be 18 years old. Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered with the Selective Service System.

4.You must pass a drug screen and medical history questionnaire.

5.You must attend a two-day training course in an offsite location (Charleston, WV, Clarksburg, WV, or Roanoke, VA.)
