CHAPMANVILLE — “Make a difference; change the world” was the slogan given to the seniors at Chapmanville Regional High School this year for their Senior Projects.
Three students, Chelsea Allred, Hannah Sabo and Kylie Clay, with the help and support from many others, were able to make a difference in the lives of many animals by raising $588.73 with a hot dog sale in Chapmanville on March 17 to support no-kill animal shelters in West Virginia.
All proceeds were given to Mechelle Mullins for the Little Victories Animal Shelter in Barboursville.
“This no-kill animal shelter particularly intrigued our minds because our project was all about the effects of animal abuse,” said Kylie Clay. “We would like to thank Towne N Country Foodland, Workman’s IGA and Speedway of Chapmanville for their generous contributions in supporting the cause. Also, special thanks go out to Katie Murray, Sandra Mounts, Kelly Murray, Dave Wagner, and all of the parents involved in helping us make a difference.”
